The Board of Trustees for the Pension Fund have some exciting news to share with active members – age 59 to age 65 with 10 Vesting Service Years – of the Midwest Operating Engineers Pension Fund.
We strongly encourage you and your spouse, if applicable, to attend an upcoming meeting to learn how to enhance your retirement benefit if you are interested in delaying your retirement past your Normal Retirement Date. This new program will become effective January 1, 2023.
The purpose of this meeting is to explain the details of the program:
- Review the need for this program
- Discuss who will be eligible for the program
- Evaluate several examples outlining the financial incentives
- Followed by Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
This meeting will be held at the District 1 Union Hall in Countryside on Sunday, November 20th. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. with the presentation starting promptly at 9:00 a.m.
