We Need Your Support: Submit a Public Comment and Attend an Illinois Tollway Public Hearing, July 13 to July 24

The Illinois Tollway is moving forward with Driving Connections, a 15-year, $26.5 billion capital program that will improve roads, reduce congestion, strengthen regional transportation, and support long-term economic growth across every Tollway corridor.

For Operating Engineers, this program means years of major infrastructure work, good union jobs, and continued investment in the communities where our members live and work. These projects will help keep Illinois moving while creating opportunities for skilled Local 150 members to do the work safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

TAKE ACTION: SUBMIT A PUBLIC COMMENT
Please submit a public comment in support of the Driving Connections capital program and the investments needed to move it forward. Comments must be submitted by noon on August 3, 2026. Your comment does not need to be long — it only needs to make clear that you support continued investment in safe roads, reliable transportation, economic development, and good union jobs.
