It is never too early to start planning for your retirement to ensure that you can enjoy the next chapter of your life. The Fund Office will be hosting Pre-Retirement Seminars for those members that are age 53 and up with eight or more vesting service credits.
These seminars aim to ensure that members are well-prepared and confident as they approach retirement. Presentation topics include:
- How to interpret your personalized pension estimate
- An explanation of the pension types and forms of payment
- What to do when you’re thinking of retirement
- How to request and submit a pension application
- The rules of returning to work in retirement and disqualifying employment
- What the Worker Retention Program is and how you might benefit from it
- Retiree Welfare Plan’s eligibility requirements
- New! Introduction of the Retiree Marketplace
- Retiree Welfare Plan prescription drug, and dental coverage
- How to utilize your Retiree Medical Savings Plan RMSP) account, if applicable
- Information on Medicare and Social Security
Doors will open at 8:15am. We welcome you to come early and meet our valued partners and Fund Office staff. The Fund Office’s presentation will begin at 9:00am.
